However the specially built plane was heavily loaded with a huge supply of fuel for long journey, so the wheels just barely managed to clear the telephone wires at the end of the runway. Feeling drowsy and finding himself dozing off were his biggest problems as he reached the halfway point. After twenty -five hours in the air,he passed over a fishing boat.A few minutes later,he saw the coastline of Ireland on the horizon Lindberg was neither surprised nor terribly excited.for he was exactly where he had planned to be at that hour. After thirty -three hours alone in the air,he had conquered the Atlantic,but he was worried that he would be in trouble with the French customs because he had forgotten to apply for an entry visa. However ,he was surprised.relieved and excited when a cheering crowd greeted him when he landed.
